Nature writing is what started the writing journey for Heather.
It all began in 2012 after seeing Alan Watson Featherstone, the founder of Trees for Life, give a talk on wildlife conservation. Part of his message was to share the natural world with others, and he suggested writing a nature blog. Heather's blog - Heatherybean - started the following day and through this she rediscovered a love of words and writing which had hitherto been forgotten. Jump forward to today and Heather writes environmental non-fiction which aims to connect the reader to the natural world, opening hearts and minds to the wonders that abound.
With an eye to the wild, Heather has written a variety of different articles, posts and emotional pieces for magazines, blogs and papers. She collaborates with the producers to ensure they are happy with the finished piece, and can write to any theme - although those of her homeland are recommended.
A selection of published online articles are below.
